🚗 Driving Westhills is well connected via Highway 1, Goldstream Ave, and Veterans Memorial Parkway, making it relatively easy to drive into downtown Victoria, Colwood, or up-island. Traffic can get busy during peak commuter hours, especially around Veterans Memorial Parkway. 🅿️ Parking One of the perks of Langford is that much of the parking is free, including many commercial and recreation areas. There is also dedicated parking near the YMCA/Westhills exchange area. Public parking 🚌 Bus Transit BC Transit serves Westhills with several useful routes connecting to downtown Victoria, UVic, Royal Oak, and surrounding Westshore communities. Common routes through the area include 39, 46, 47, 58, and 65. B C Transit The Westhills YMCA exchange is commonly used as a park-and-ride location for commuters heading downtown. 🚶 Walking Westhills has a growing network of walking paths and multi-use trails, especially around Langford Lake and Glen Lake. Popular nearby walking areas include: * Ed Nixon Trail * Galloping Goose Trail * E&N Rail Trail * Cy Jenkins Trail These connect many parts of the community and are stroller and family friendly in several sections. 🚴 Cycling The area is considered bikeable, with access to the Galloping Goose and E&N Rail Trail networks connecting toward Victoria and other Westshore areas. We loved our time staying at the “Carriage House”. Great location just 30 mins from downtown Victoria and close to the highways to explore the rest of the island. There is load's to do nearby in Langford (Langford Lake and Sooke Hill’s Wilderness Trail are beautiful). Very well equipped unit with mountain views and private parking - would absolutely recommend 👍
